Recycling of stretch film

Stretch film recycling is a key part of our production. Stretch films are 100% recyclable, which means that they contribute to reducing waste and the burden on the environment. By implementing zero waste principles, we focus not only on reusing materials, but also on minimising waste throughout the production process. We focus on sustainable production and a closed production cycle. This ensures that stretch materials are reused, which minimises waste in the production process. Our commitment to a zero waste economy is supported by the effective recycling practices we have implemented. We declare that our products comply with European standards.

Regranulated PCR to Recowrap™ film

Recowrap™ PCR film contains a minimum of 30% Post-consumer Recycled Material (PCR) in its composition (referred to in the industry as 30% recycled stretch film) Recowrap™ therefore indirectly contributes to reducing the amount of plastic waste in the environment.

Recowrap™ film has analogous properties to standard stretch film. It is just as strong and is available in thicknesses from 15 microns (hand rolls) to 35 microns. Recowrap™ film is only available in a transparent version, in the Standard and Standard+ quality classes.

By choosing Recowrap™ film, the user is choosing an environmentally friendly product that reduces the amount of plastic in nature.

The PCR films of our production also meet the EU standards for disposable products with a minimum of 30% recycled regranulate. Recowrap™ therefore meets these requirements.

Film production based on PCR regranulation

What is regranulated stretch film?

Recowrap™ PCR stretch film is made from PCR regranulate (with a miwnimum 30% content). Using stretch film made from regranulated PCR is a good solution that can not only help reduce plastic tax costs, but also contribute to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable business practices.

What are the technical parameters of regranulate stretch film?

Stretch film made from recyclates is available as hand film, machine film and Jumbo film. Thicknesses dedicated to this product start from 17 to 35 microns.  It is available in transparent colour only and in standard quality grade.

PCR stretch film has analogous properties to classic stretch film.

Is recowrap film as tough as traditional stretch film?

Recowrap™ PCR film has analogous strength and quality parameters to standard stretch film. This is the result of many years of work in our R&D laboratory, a specially selected recipe and advanced machinery. The LLDPE regranulate from which our film is manufactured is a carefully selected product derived from selected stretch films and subjected to a regranulation process. In summary, recycled film is as resistant as classic stretch film.

Is recycled film approved for food contact?

Recycled film is not used in contact with food. Foodsafe+ food film is dedicated to the protection of all food products.

What are the recycling properties of stretch film, can it be recycled?

Yes, recycled stretch film (PCR granulate) can be recycled again. Appropriate recycling of stretch film aims to minimise environmental impact and promote sustainability. Recycled stretch film is usually produced from recycled raw materials from other stretch films. The recycling process allows these materials to be reused, reducing waste and the consumption of secondary raw materials. In this way, it contributes to lowering the environmental impact (lowering the carbon footprint).
